Learn To Ski

Search Amazon.com for skiing for beginnersSo you want to learn to ski?  Every one has to start at the basic level.  It is always a good idea to hire out your first boots and skis, you need to be absolutely certain that this is a sport you want to pursue. It can be an expensive and frustrating hobby.
In the early days, depending on your physical ability, it can be frustrating and you seem to spend more time in a sitting position, the boots are uncomfortable and you can feel as though you will never get the knack!  Persevere at this stage as you will find it suddenly comes to you.  A word of warning however, take it easy, don't think that you have the ability to go up to the peaks, stay on the nursery slopes and then work your way up to the higher levels very very gradually.
Once you have mastered the art of skiing it is probably the most exciting and exhilarating feeling in the world. When you conquer your first real slope, you know it was well worth the pain and frustration and you will never look back!
Learn to ski at a sensible and controlled pace, take your time, and you will avoid injury!
